General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)
Article 1: Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern all sales of products, services, and activities offered by the non-profit organization “Ligue des Amis du Château de Vêves” (hereinafter referred to as the “ASBL”). By placing an order or making a reservation, the customer unconditionally accepts these GTCS.
Article 2: Products and Services Offered
The ASBL notably offers:
- The sale of tickets for events and cultural visits;
- The sale of merchandise and souvenirs related to the Château’s activities;
- The organization of guided tours, educational workshops, and other events;
- The sale of products at the Château Terrace (snacks and drinks).

Article 3: Pricing
Prices for products and services are indicated in euros and include all applicable taxes. The ASBL reserves the right to modify its prices at any time but undertakes to apply the rates in effect at the time of the order or reservation.
Article 4: Orders and Payments
Any order is confirmed by the sending of a confirmation email. Payment for services and products must be made at the time of ordering (for orders placed via the official ticketing system) using the available payment methods. The order will only be considered final upon receipt of payment. Payment for services and products must be made upon receipt of the invoice (for bookings for school groups or guided tours).
Article 5: Right of Withdrawal
It is reminded that, in accordance with Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance, the customer does not have the right of withdrawal in the case of a reservation:
- accommodation other than for residential purposes (for example, holiday accommodation),
- transport,
- car rental,
- catering and services related to leisure activities.
Article 6: Cancellation and Refunds
The ASBL reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, the customer will be informed and a refund or rescheduling will be offered.
The customer may also request the cancellation of their reservation (only for school groups and guided tours) under the following conditions:

1. If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the scheduled date of the visit, no fee will be charged.
2. If the cancellation occurs between 29 and 10 days before the date of the visit, 50% of the outstanding balance will be retained.
3. If the cancellation occurs less than 9 days before the visit, the full amount will be charged.
4 In the event of force majeure (illness, death, natural disaster), special cancellation conditions may be applied upon presentation of supporting documents.
Article 7: Liability
The ASBL shall not be held liable for any indirect damages that may arise from the purchase of products or services. Its liability is limited to the amount of the transaction carried out by the customer.
Article 8: Data Protection
Personal information collected during orders is processed in compliance with data protection legislation (GDPR). The customer has the right to access, modify, and delete their data by contacting the ASBL by email at contact@chateau-veves.be
Article 9: Intellectual Property
All content (texts, images, logos) related to the products and services offered by the ASBL is protected by copyright. Any partial or total reproduction is prohibited without the written permission of the ASBL.
Article 10: Applicable Law and Disputes
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before initiating any legal proceedings. Failing an agreement, the courts of Dinant and Namur shall have jurisdiction.
